I'll post later in the week with the details however I'm currently adjusting to being very sore and loving cuddles off my little man.

41 weeks + 4 days induction tomorrow
Just thought id post an update to
hopefully keep this blog as journal of our progress through labour.
Been for a very long walk today. Got
home around 3pm lost my plug in spectacular fashion at 4.30pm. Been
having period like pains on and off since then. Just been to the
toilet and noticed a dot of red blood in the mucus (literally the
size your would get out of a spot) so sat panicking whilst daddy gets
some sleep ready for tomorrows induction.

A very festive haul
The amount of baby first christmas
items in the stores is crazy however I had to indulge a little on one
of my many walk the baby out shopping trips.
The outfits
This year minifootsteps will be having
two xmas days so was in the need of two very christmasy outfits to
wear.
The first is this white snow man all in
one from Asda at £8. Out of the two we will be wearing this is by far my favourite the fabric is a soft fleece with felt and cotton
stitching for the design it also includes a little hat.
The second is the santa outfit and is
also the cheaper option at £3.99 from Homebargins. The outfit is 80%
cotton 20% polyester, design wise I love it however the whole thing
is poorly made and looks a little cheap but will be ok for one day.
The little extras
Booties these are like little woollen
socks with my first christmas wrote on the front at £1.99 from
Primark they will make a great stocking filler for any newborn baby.
(Apologies for the poor quality photo however I have resisted opening
these until the day arrives).
Bibs. A baby can never have two many
bibs or so my mam tells me. These are from Matalan at a veryaffordable £4 the pack includes 4 designs. Although they are over
the head (not my favourite) the head hole stretches well and these
can be put away to use year after year. Again these would make a
great stocking filler.
Once again apologies for the dark
photos I took these at night to write a variety of posts for the blog
ready to post once the little one arrives. Also think this is part of my nesting instinct as I am not the sort of person to clean the house from top to bottom.

Whats in my hospital bag
I have found packing for hospital one
of the more stressful aspects of getting ready for the birth. What to
take, how much to take, do I pack it all in one bag or take two
smaller bags. The questions are endless. Below is what I have decided
to take in with me when I go into labour (hopefully very soon) with
Minifootsteps. I have opted for one bag as daddyfootsteps doesn’t
drive so my mam will be taking us in meaning we can't really leave a
bag in the car.
You can find my checklist here
Items for Minifootsteps/the baby
Firstly my favourite item – his first
teddy bear, vests (2 x short sleeve and 2 x long
sleeve), 2 x cardigans, 3 x sleep-suits, coming home outfit, 2 spare baby grows, scratch mits, 3 x hats, socks, 2 x bibs, nursing sheet, blanket, baby towel, dummies (to be sterilised and added)
Items for baby bum
Nappies, wet wipes (after reading this article
my scientific brain has decided he is having wipes), mini Sudocream/Johnsons baby nappycream, cotton wool just incase, nappy bags
Feeding items
Nursing pads, milk (just in case as I currently
have a UTI), dummy
Items for mammy
Underwear – a wide selection, labour clothes, coming home clothes, PJ's, maternity pads, slippers, face cream, body wash, body lotion (to be used to massage
my back), lip balm, hair balm, shampoo and conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, face wipes, airbrush and hair bobbles.
P.s I actually ended up adding items to
the bag after photographing everything so it was useful for me to
write this post. Hope you enjoyed reading it.

Santa Please stop here (40 weeks +1 day)
This christmas is going to be a strange
one as not only are we at home with my parents but the little one
will only been around 1 month old. This hasn’t stopped us spoiling
the little man and I was determine he would have a santa stop here
sign.
I'm currently a 40 weeks +1 day, head
down, curry eating walking machine. Me and mam decided to pop to the
local shops purely to wander (and get another sleeping bag post
coming up later). In poundland I came across this cute little sign.
It is around half a meter tall and the
back ground of the snow man is glittery best of all it was £1 so if
it gets lost when we move out in the new year its of no significance.
The wood does seem a bit thin so im unsure how it will hold up if we
get any snow this year.
Apologies for the very poor lighting but wanted to get these photographed and uploaded before i go into labour (wishful thinking possibly)

39 + 6 weeks pregnant
The closer I get to my due date the more uncomfortable I get.
Last midwife appointment they mentioned my sweep won't be till 41weeks so I'm currently reading NICE guidelines hoping I can convince them to do it earlier.

39 + 4 attempting to walk baby out
Having been up since 3am with period like pain (only girls will understand just what that is like) we are in town attempting to walk miles to bring labour on.
The result....minifootsteps has Christmas present but we still aren't in labour

39weeks + 2days
Sigh little one is still inside my big belly. We had a little scare that he wasn't moving last night which resulted in 20minutes of monitoring. Luckerky he is fine just running out of space so not moving as violently.
My brackston hicks contractions are getting stronger by the day + some other signs which would be to much information to share.
5 days until he is due

Baby booty haul
Sorry for neglecting this blog over the
last few weeks, everything has been extremely hectic with only a few
weeks until the little one is due to be born. Today is the first day
of my maternity leave so I thought I would show you guys some of the
super cute little booties we have been buying for our new arrival.
As you can see we have bought/been
bought a small selection.
Firetrap Rhino Infant Crib shoes £9.99
from SportsDirect
Converse
Babies Red 'Union Jack' Hi-Top Trainers £30 Amazon
Converse
Infant Bootie Socks, we got our at JD Sports however they can also be found for £9.99 at Amazon
My favourite have got to be the proper
little shoes, both are a size C1 so the smallest availbale meaning
they should fit him around xmas time. The socks are from Newborn and
will be going in my hospital bag to bring him home. The Converse
collection is very much daddyminifootsteps doing being his favourite
shoes he insisted baby have some to match. Luckily my leaving
present from work (I will be returning to a different base after my
maternity leave) was the baby union jack Converse boots.
Now for the mams on a bit more of a
budget (like we are now I'm on maternity leave) I picked these up in
a local baby shop for £2.99. Similar ones are on ebay for £2.50
